At Restoration Southside, we wish for our children to feel valued, know that they are an important part of the church, and witness Jesus reflected in what they see, in what they hear, and in the people that serve them. The mission of our Children’s Ministry is to create an environment for the children in our church that is safe, fun and imitates the larger body of Christ in every way possible. Our hope for parents is that they will know that their children are safe and loved. Our goal for volunteers is that they can use their gifts and have the opportunity to connect with children and families in the church.

Kiddos are just as much a part of our community as everyone else. Jesus said, “let the little children come to me.” And we will constantly bring the little ones to Jesus.

VBS
If you are interested in signing up your children for LMPC’s VBS this June 10th-13th , the registration process is a little different from last year. In order to sign up, you will need to register through Realm (LMPS’s new database system). You will need to create a profile for Realm with a username and password. It is a quick and easy process. First step is to email Caitlyn Whitted at: caitlyn@lmpc.org with the following information:

•Parent’s full name
•Parent’s DOB
•Primary email address (this email will be used as your login as well as communication within Realm)
•Phone number
•Children’s full names that will be registering for VBS
•Each child’s DOB

Caitlyn will set up your profile in Realm and send you an invitation to join Realm. You will then receive an email with instructions on how to set up your username (email) and password (will need to create one). Once you have created a profile, you will be able register for VBS!

If you have any questions please reach out to Caitlyn either by email caitlyn@lmpc.org or phone: 423-424-4095.

SAFETY

All volunteers will be be trained in our Child Protection Policy and will be background checked. We have a nursery area that is fully secure: it is obvious to all that only approved volunteers, parents, and children are allowed in that space. This will be done partly by having nursery volunteers where a Restoration Kiddos t-shirt, so that all parents, visiting or members will know who is caring for their children during the service. Doors will be locked and their will be a special volunteer monitoring the hallway. Check-in: Will be at the front of the children's space via an ipad or computer. Children will receive a printed nametag. (More info will come as we further understand how CCB operates with check-in).

We can't tell you how much it means to be able to worship and fellowship on Sundays knowing that our children are being cared for and loved on, growing their own friendships and learning about the love of God for them.

ERICKSON

Nursery and Children's Coordinator

Wally is the Nursery and Children’s Coordinator at Restoration Southside where she gets to ensure that the children are included in our church as whole people. She was born and raised in Chattanooga, went to college here, and loves the city dearly. She spends her time at Restoration planning nursery and children’s worship, coordinating volunteers, and getting to connect different parts of the church body through Children’s Ministry. She believes that the connectedness found in this area of ministry is a beautiful picture of the Kingdom of God, and is thrilled to have a chance to serve the city by coordinating it.
