City Groups are intentional gatherings throughout the city, made up of people who are seeking to mature in Christ, with others.

We believe City Groups are a vital part of the life of the church, as they serve as one of the primary avenues for building connection and community.

What sets a City Group at Restoration apart from other groups in our city? Our heart is that, as these groups meet regularly, people are being discipled through a focus on the gospel and on Jesus. As we follow Jesus in community, the Holy Spirit transforms us.

City Groups offer a unique opportunity to connect with others in ways that go beyond our Sunday worship gatherings. They also follow a different rhythm than traditional Bible studies. We aim to create space for honest questions and curiosity as we grow in our understanding of Scripture. Our goal is to foster an environment that encourages spiritual growth by sharing life, engaging with God's Word, and praying together.

Each group may look a little different depending on life stages, personalities, meeting times, and the specific needs of the group. However, all groups share intentional rhythms that include time for building relationships and having fun, time for prayer and exploring God’s Word, and opportunities to serve others.

A place where God's grace transforms us as we live in community & love our city

Previously in my experiences at church, as someone who is not a Christian, I have felt left out, ostracized, ignored and frankly looked down upon. That, for me, has finally changed. This is such a welcome change of pace and mindset. Never have I been so welcome by such a diverse group of people. New friends, knowledgeable teachers WHO ADMIT they don’t know it all but are willing to help and grow with you, great worship (music), and above all a judgement free place to let down the walls we all put up. No one is perfect (me least of all) and it’s made clear weekly that everyone is welcome and perfection need not apply at Restoration. I never grew up in the church and, as such, have had very little basis to build my beliefs upon. I have learned so much in a short time at Restoration. What I have learned most of all, is how a church should feel, how a community should be inclusive in its caring of everyone, rather than dismissive of non believers and the imperfect. I originally went to church to appease my wife but now we go because we all enjoy the fellowship and camaraderie of an inclusive community like restoration.
