Previously in my experiences at church, as someone who is not a Christian, I have felt left out, ostracized, ignored and frankly looked down upon. That, for me, has finally changed. This is such a welcome change of pace and mindset. Never have I been so welcome by such a diverse group of people. New friends, knowledgeable teachers WHO ADMIT they don’t know it all but are willing to help and grow with you, great worship (music), and above all a judgement free place to let down the walls we all put up. No one is perfect (me least of all) and it’s made clear weekly that everyone is welcome and perfection need not apply at Restoration. I never grew up in the church and, as such, have had very little basis to build my beliefs upon. I have learned so much in a short time at Restoration. What I have learned most of all, is how a church should feel, how a community should be inclusive in its caring of everyone, rather than dismissive of non believers and the imperfect. I originally went to church to appease my wife but now we go because we all enjoy the fellowship and camaraderie of an inclusive community like restoration.
