Disclaimer: Only messy people are here at Restoration Southside. If you have all the answers and no problems, you may not be comfortable with us. Otherwise, we'd love to have you join us.

Our goal is simple, we want to help you get right with God, your relationships, and the world around you. If you are like us, you spend a fair amount of time confused, worried, and frustrated about life. Bring all of it with you because we believe God cares about it all! Even better, through Christ, he's helping us discover truth, peace, grace, and joy.

JARED

HUFFMAN

Pastor

Jared has been a pastor for almost 10 years. Most recently, he spent 6 years working at Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church, where he loved serving on the pastoral team. Jared is married to Erin, and they have 5 amazing kiddos. Jared and Erin met in college, and after getting married moved to Jared’s hometown of St. Louis, where Jared received a Master of Divinity in 2008 and a Master of Arts in Counseling in 2009.

Formative experiences have included a missions trip to Haiti at age 17, marrying Erin and becoming a father, and serving at LMPC as both a youth group volunteer, a pastoral intern, and finally a minister. Influential voices in Jared's life include his parents, his sister Sarah, Bryan Chapell, Jerram Barrs, Joe Novenson, Len Teague, and authors Brennan Manning and Henri Nouwen. Jared's favorite books are Holiness by Grace by Bryan Chapell, The Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning, The Prodigal God and The Reason for God by Tim Keller, The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas, and The Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones. Jared's free time is full of trying new restaurants with Erin, watching and playing soccer with his sons, spoiling his only daughter, marveling at his twin baby boys, grilling and eating red meat, laughing hard with friends, cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals, playing tennis (liveball to be specific), and marathons...on Netflix.

Favorite Restaurants: Alleia and Champy’s.

ERICKSON

Nursery and Children’s Coordinator

Wally is the Nursery and Children’s Coordinator at Restoration Southside where she gets to ensure that the children are included in our church as whole people. She was born and raised in Chattanooga, went to college here, and loves the city dearly. She spends her time at Restoration planning nursery and children’s worship, coordinating volunteers, and getting to connect different parts of the church body through Children’s Ministry. BELIEFS

GOD IS FATHER, SON & HOLY SPIRIT

Before the world or the Bible existed, God existed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The three eternal persons are one God, each worthy of our worship. They have eternally loved each other and invite us to share in their love.

THE BIBLE IS TRUE

We can only know God’s purpose and plan to restore us because of the Bible. The Bible is true because the One who gave it to us is true.

GOD RESTORES SINNERS

God sent Christ so people like us could be restored to Him. Restoration is not a do-it-yourself project. Instead, God does all the work. This is good but humbling news we always need to hear!

THE CHURCH IS WHERE GOD RESTORES US

We believe in the importance of the church. It is God’s workshop, where he uses tools like prayer, friendship, preaching, and sacraments to mend us into his likeness.

EVERYTHING MATTERS

Relationships, work, art, money, and everything else matters. God isn’t just interested in what we do on Sunday. He’s interested in restoring every aspect of our lives.

ATMOSPHERE

Churches are like people, no two are exactly the same. What should you expect when you visit Restoration Southside?

CLEAR

Everything is straightforward , from the space to our worship. Our desire is to be clear to all who are trusting us with their time.

WELCOMING

We like people, a lot. Don’t worry about how you’re dressed or whether you know all the words to the songs. If you’re introverted, we’re not going to make you stand up and say anything. We think people are amazing and want to treat you like the amazing person you are.

CONVERSATIONAL

You probably have questions about the Christian faith and what it all means. Terrific. Bring them. We’re truth seekers and invite you to join us in our journey.
